How to create a new Procedure / Other Training

Creating new Procedures and Other Training.

To initiate the creation of a new Procedure or Other Training, please log in as an admin on the Nvolve Platform.

Next, navigate to the Learning tab and select either Digital Procedures or Other Training/Skills.

To begin, click on the prominent red 'New Procedure' or 'New Other Training/Skills' button positioned at the top right corner of the list.

At this point, you will need to complete the required fields, which include:

  • Procedure Title - Name of the Procedure
  • Learning Group - What Learning group is the Procedure a part of.
  • Created Date - When the Procedure was created.
  •  Procedure Revision - What version of the procedure is. (Not included in the other Training)
  • Procedure Status - you can set to Live procedure (If you want the procedure to go straight to live without the approval process) or pending approval (If the procedure requires approval to be created). (Not Included in other training)

Additionally, you may choose to complete the optional fields such as:

  • Grace Period - the amount of days that the employee will have before their training goes to not completed when the training is assigned to them.
  • Expiry Period - When the training is due t expire after Completion.
  • Average Training Period - An estimate on how long the training will take to complete.
  • Risk Level  - How much risk is involved with what the procedure is covering.
  • Description - Procedure Description.

You have the option to enhance your procedure by including Supporting Documents, such as Word Documents, PDFs, PowerPoint files, and more, via the Supporting Information page. To upload a file, simply click on the browse button, select your desired file, and then click the red 'Add' button to finalize the addition. 

To assign the newly created Procedure or Other Training, navigate to the 'Assign Procedure' or 'Assign Other Training/Skills' tab. Here, you can allocate the training to employees by transferring their names from the left 'Available Employees' column to the right 'Assigned Employees' column. The same process applies for assigning training to work groups. Additionally, you can utilize the employee type drop-down menu to filter employees based on their status, such as Permanent or Temporary.  

After you have successfully assigned the procedure or other training to the designated Employees or work groups, simply click on the 'Save Updates' button to finalize and store your new training configuration.

We haven't gone into detail about adding Job Breakdowns, Questionnaires, or Competency Checks in this article.
