Using the Skills Gap Analysis

Setting up Skills Gap Analysis on Work groups and Training Items

To initiate the setup of work groups and training for the Skills Gap Analysis, please log in to the Nvolve platform as an administrator with the appropriate permissions.

Next, navigate to the work groups page located under the workforce tab; please note that the steps for setting it up for training items are quite similar.

Next, select the eye icon corresponding to the workgroup to which you would like to add the required employees.
 

Next, enter the number of employees needed for the skills gap analysis in the Required Employees field, and then click on Save Updates to apply your changes.

 

Skills Gap Analysis (Work group/Roles)

To access the Skills Gap Analysis page, please log in as a manager or administrator who possesses the necessary permissions.
 

Subsequently, proceed to the learning tab and select the option for 'Skills Gap Analysis'.

You will then be directed to the "Workgroups / Roles" Skill Gap Analysis page, where you can access the relevant information and metrics.


Explanation of Each Field's Significance

  1. Work Group/Role - This refers to the designated name of the workgroups established.
     
  2. Required Employees - This field represents the total number of employees needed for the workgroup, a figure established with the required employees field on the workgroup details page.
     
  3. Permanent Employees - This field displays the count of employees who hold permanent positions within the workgroup.
    1. To designate employees as permanent, click on the eye icon located in the actions tab (refer to point 11 in the image above). Then, simply check the box labeled 'Permanent Employees' to confirm their status, and click on 'Save Updates' to apply your changes.


  4. Assigned Employees - This field reflects the total number of employees who have been allocated to the workgroup.
     
  5. Available Employees - This field indicates the count of employees who have successfully completed all necessary training associated with the workgroup or role.
     
  6. Workgroup/Role Gap - This column illustrates the disparity between the number of employees assigned and the number of employees required. For instance, if the required number of employees is 5 and the total assigned is 3, the Workgroup/Role Gap will display -2, indicating that there are two employees needed to meet the requirement.
     
  7. Workgroup/Role Cover - This column represents the percentage of employees assigned to the workgroup relative to the total number of required employees, providing insight into how well the workgroup's staffing needs are being met.

  8. Skills Required - This column represents the total number of training items designated for the workgroup, highlighting the specific learning objectives necessary for employee development.

  9. Skills Gap - This column represents the total outstanding training that need to be completed by all employees assigned to the workgroup.

  10. Skills Cover - This column indicates the percentage of training that has been successfully completed by all employees within the workgroup, providing a clear view of the workgroup's overall compliance

  2. Required Employees - This field represents the total number of employees that need to complete the training, a figure established with the required employees field on the training details page.
  3. Assigned Employees - This field reflects the total number of employees who have been allocated to the training.
  4. Available Employees - This field indicates the count of employees who have successfully completed the training.
  5. Learning Item Gap - This column illustrates the disparity between the number of employees who are assigned the training and the number of required employees. For instance, if the required number of employees is 5 and the total assigned is 3, the Learning Item Gap will display -2, indicating that there are two employees needed to meet the requirement.
  6. Learning Item Cover - This column indicates the percentage of training that has been successfully completed by the employees assigned to the training.

You can view the completions of the training by clicking on the eye icon in the actions column. You can also use this feature to assign employees to the training
