How to create an eLearning course?

Creating the eLearning course

To begin, launch PowerPoint to start creating your eLearning course. You have the option to either select an existing PowerPoint presentation or create a new one; the steps for both approaches will remain the same.

Powerpoint presentation To incorporate questions into your PowerPoint presentation, simply navigate to the Nvolve Tab, select eLearning questions, and choose the type of question you would like to include.

For this example, we will choose the True/False question type. In the pop-up window, please enter the question you wish to pose. Then, be sure to select the checkbox next to the correct answer. Finally, choose the appropriate question type.

Note:  

The question types differ in functionality:

  • Check your Understanding - The answer provided doesn't contribute to the final score.
  • Course Assessment - The answer provided contributes to the final score and may determine the completion if the employee doesn't meet the pass rate.

Once you are satisfied with the presentation you wish to convert into an eLearning course, navigate to the Nvolve Tab and select the Create Course button.

Choose the location where you would like to save your course file, and then click the save button to ensure your work is saved.

The next step is to navigate to the Learning, Skills & Compliance Tab on the Nvolve platform and select the eLearning Courses option.Learning, Skills and Compliance selecting elearning courses

Next, select the red button labelled 'new eLearning Course.'

Next, please complete the required fields, including Learning Group, Course Name, and Created Date.elearning courses page showing New elearning course button The other fields are optional and can be filled out at your discretion. Afterward, click on the browse button to locate your created eLearning Course. Finally, ensure you click the red 'Add' button to successfully include the eLearning course.

Navigate to the Assign Course tab to designate the eLearning course to a specific workgroup or individual employees. Once you have made your selections, click the red 'Save Updates' button to finalize the course creation process. After this step, employees assigned to the course can access it by visiting their learning plan and clicking on the launch option.

Upon launching the course, participants will have the opportunity to engage with the questions and successfully complete the course.

Course completion screenOnce you have successfully completed the course and achieved a passing score, please click the "Finish" button. Afterward, confirm the refresh, and the course status will update to "Completed."
